Collecting and finding new purpose for pre loved goods is always a fun adventure, with a tale to tell. A close friend and family member had no more love to give to their fabric, allowing me to revive the rolls into a classic fit for the city streets. This shoot is a result of creatives coming together and flexing their skills.

Contemporary Meets Shibori
A fun project indeed, practicing traditional dye methods like the Japanese Shibori dye bath, and combining contemporary sewing techniques to bring the costume project to life. Accordion collars, pianists tails and a fashionable shoot is all it takes to bring these skills to life!

It is always a joy to work with fellow creatives in alternative pockets of the industry. A local Web Design and Marketing company needed some help streamlining their identity, looking more professional and contemporary. I had a lot of creative freedom to apply quirky ideas that connect their brand back to the industry they are in.

Local Identity
Working with local, down to earth groups and communities are such rewarding experiences. The Newy 5AM Club is one that is no different. I met the group creator, who described to me an energetic group of people, rising with the sun, surfing and catching their caffeine wave at the early hours of the morning. The crew needed an identity, that they could associate with and from growth will be able to represent their brand on physical items.

As a designer, I am a real nerd for timeless, fun and dynamic typefaces. Thus bringing to life a collectors edition of typography zine’s, allowing for fellow nerds to go full biscuit in their love for font! In each monthly box, there is themed merchandise and information on that months edition. Anyone else love Helvetica?
